Environmental Services
Kleinschmidt
has conducted environmental and social resource studies nationwide. These
studies, from issue identification to study design and implementation, have
lead to successful completion of goals including management plans, implementation
of mitigation or enhancement measures or impact assessments. Kleinschmidt
leads a collaborative study team process to scope, conduct, complete each
study, and assist decision-makers in interpreting results and reaching recommendations.
Our Environmental staff routinely teams with engineers, planners, facilitators, and environmental permitting professionals to provide the expertise needed to balance water and energy resources among competing uses. Our services include designing, conducting and/or managing studies addressing the effects of hydroelectric projects on aquatic, terrestrial, recreational and cultural resources. Our studies are relied upon by regulators, project sponsors, conservation organizations and natural resource management agencies for sound, accurate scientific decision-making data and expert recommendations based on accurate analysis.
Many of our senior staff are nationally and regionally known , and frequently lead multi-disciplinary, multi-agency and stakeholder study teams to design and conduct studies, interpret results, and make recommendations. They are backed by additional technical staff who are trained to efficiently gather and process data.
