Jon Christensen, Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Jon M. Christensen is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Kleinschmidt. Mr. Christensen also serves as Senior Project Manager for large or complex due diligence or asset evaluation projects where there is a need to assess potential operating and regulatory risks on multiple or large projects.

Mr. Christensen received a BA in Economics from the University of Vermont in 1983 with concentrations in labor relations. He has continued his education through course work in Business Administration and Finance from Thomas College and the University of Maine Extension Service.

In the CFO role, Mr. Christensen oversees the company’s financial, marketing, human resources and information technology functions. He serves as Contract Officer in the evaluation and implementation of risk management processes and training, and develops and monitors annual budgets that translate our broad vision statement and strategic objectives into annual business plans. He also works with department managers and the board of directors to benchmark and evaluate performance of the individuals and projects within the firm, and provides executive oversight for our most challenging projects.

Mr. Christensen provides Senior Project Manager expertise for a select group of clients who are considering portfolio level evaluations of their hydroelectric and other power assets. He manages due diligence projects for clients considering asset purchase, and evaluation projects for clients that are undergoing reorganization or improvement processes on a broad scale.
